A bit about me:
I'm a young, driven sports journalist with experience in reporting, editing, photography and occasional page design.
I'm currently based in Norman, Oklahoma, and am open to any and all freelance opportunities as I seek full-time employment. I'm also a regular contributor to Maize N Brew, affiliated with SBNation, where I write about Michigan sports and recruiting.
I most recently served as the sports editor at the Crookston Times, a local paper in northwest Minnesota, where I covered area high school sports and college sports at the University of Minnesota Crookston. I have experience freelancing as well, for outlets including the Detroit Free Press, Baltimore Sun and Softball America.
I'm a 2019 graduate of the University of Michigan, where I majored in history and was a sports editor for The Michigan Daily. There, I reported on Michigan men's basketball, hockey and baseball, and covered plenty of "non-revenue" sports too.
I was born in Seattle, Washington, where I lived until 2001 before moving to Ypsilanti, Michigan. In 2004 my family relocated to Oklahoma, where we have lived ever since.
While I've been watching sports of all kinds since I was seven years old, my own athletic background consists of four years of high school cross country and track and field, as well of four years of club running in college.
I've covered everything from high school hockey games to March Madness, and enjoy writing thoroughly-reported features, gripping gamers, authoritative columns and anything in between. I'm always on the hunt for the next good story to tell.
